Online Teaching Certification

Thank you for your interest in the DSU Online Teaching Certification (OTC) Program. Online teaching certification is required of all faculty assigned to teach online (DSU Policy 633).

A few items to note prior to registering for an upcoming OTC session:

• Online teaching assignments are currently assigned by the academic department and based upon availability.
• To effectively apply learning, faculty are encouraged to enroll in the OTC course with a concurrent or upcoming online teaching assignment.
• An average of 5-7 hours a week is needed to successfully complete the OTC course online.
• OTC participants should have basic skills in the Canvas Learning Management System.
• Please use your Dixie.edu email address to request registration in the OTC course.
